Does anyone know of a video chat program for LAN?
I am looking for a video of LAN and audio chat program, something like AIM, except that it goes on the internet, and back to me, but for the router to a computer locally, so there is less delay.

Registration Information When Will I lose I-8 digital tape to a DVD?
I've been in charge of our home videos, 8mm digital camcorder to our computer. As far as I can tell, one hour of the videos is about 12 GB on the PC. But when I burn the videos onto a DVD, these videos use about 4 GB per hour. Am losing "quality" or information on this process of copying videos from our video camera to DVD? Is there anything I can do about it? I am copying videos mostly because I worry that Digital-8 is no longer used one day in the near future. And, I wanted to protect our "family treasures."
This is not a problem. Most likely when recording initially (The 12 GB) data are uncompressed. The DVD has a bit of compression, which is 4GB. Algorithms DVD compression is quite relevant in terms of quality preservation. You should not be nervous at all about this to the extent that you follow the standard DVD. You are definitely doing the right thing, because a DVD is always better than a cassette. Versus digital audio, digital always wins. Only two copies of each disc as a copy security.
