Ok…Mac Fans….Should I get an Imac and Macbook Air or a Macbok Pro?

I like Macs, I purchased a Macbook in black right after the holidays but decided to return it because I found out about Macworld. I am a switcher from a ThinkPad. I like the idea of the new Macbook Air but the power inside and speed 1.6Ghz and there isn’t any drives. I’m trying to decide between getting an Imac+Macbook Air …..or a Macbook Pro. I’m not a rich guy but don’t want money to play into it. Any advice? I haven’t seen the Air but the thought of that little thing in my pocket just seems neat, however the power of 1.6 Ghz seems slow for internet and watching streaming videos especially as content and programs continue to use alot more graphics and speed. So what do you think, coin isn’t much of a concern but will this laptop be a through away in 14 months? How about the iMac…will that thing last me 3 years?…well a few questions. I guess ultimately which one should I get? Macbook Pro or Imac+ Macbook Air?

Thanks

Apple tried to make the Macbook Air completely wireless. But I find that its just not all that great. You have to buy a separate optical drive which can connect to the one usb port or you have to have another Mac or PC so you can share its optical drive. It can only have up to 80 gb of harddrive space, you can’t upgrade it either since its specially made for the iPods and Macbook Air. It costs so much, just for so little. I would go for the Macbook Pro with the least ram you can get which is 1 gb. Then you can upgrade it later for 1/4 the price. You can even take it with you to the mall and have wireless internet and still be able to burn something while having your usb ports open for something else.
