I've been looking at buying a professional video camera, and like many recent advances professional tapeless camcorders I wonder if now is a bad time to buy the XHA1s. Also XHA1s (I) was launched over a year. If that prevents me from buy it? I looked Ax2000 Sony, which is in my price range, but I've learned not to run in native progressive. I have an HDTV 720p I played with the HDMI cable, but I have the hook component reg. I want to get a capture card to prove my Gamebattles disputes. There are some ways to make this happen. You can use HD PVR, Dazzle, Hava, or camcorder with component input cords. Any of these solutions running somewhere between $ 60 - $ 100. Since playing with the HDMI cable, just connect the component cables will allow you to record in standard definition while play without having to change any settings. I personally use an Aiptek A-HD + 1080p HD camcorder and it works like a charm. But no play with an HDMI cable so I have to change the setup a little to get the mind working. I know some people who use HD PVR and it works great well for them. I also heard that Hava is more or less above the line for recording. Dazzle can be questionable depending on the computer's operating system, if you Windows XP, then you are good to go.
