So I found an old video camera in my locker today and asked me if I'm able to capture the video off the VHS tape on my comp ..... and if so HOW?

How do I find film work in Wellington, New Zealand?

Hi I am looking for any type ( pre-production, production, post) work in film in Wellington New Zealand. I have been applying to companies but everywhere says they have no vacancies. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in film/video from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and I have had alot of experience handling cameras and with film equipment. I don't know what to do next, anyone have any helpful hints on how to land a job working in TV or film?

book. Cathy Randall is very helpful for Migrants coming over here. I am a 3D Animator I have started in Auckland and am moving down to Wellington. Because you do post production check out companies like Oktober they did the post for Lord of the rings. I will be honest it is very hard going here. Try Cathy she has really helped me out and prompted me to move down. I would also say do not live in Auckland. Coming from the States as well it is not a great place if you can just try her and see what happens give it a go they are also opening alot of Film Companies outside Auckland in Hamilton. I know that 30 days is currently being filmed. The problem is it is still really small here.

Projection Screens great movie experience, but when you do not want your room to look like a movie, you have to hide your screen.

The first option that comes to mind is a screen on the ceiling. That's the kind of screen that makes most of its ceiling. It hides the void above the false roof, so it is only when you allow it to fall.

But what if you have that ceiling?

Well, you can recreate something similar making a custom furniture work. Now, that does not have to be as complicated as it seems. A simple rectangular box may be all you need. But if you want to go all the way and really take your room to the next level, you can have a furniture maker to create a commissioned work that really suits your taste.

No matter the design and budget in question, keeping in mind the following points to ensure the success of custom furniture.

1. Get the right measurements. Make sure you have the appropriate drawings for your project from the manufacturer of projection screen. Make sure you know all dimensions, including the installation media. Additionally, keep an eye on the location of the power cord and how the fabric of the screen exits the case.
2. Leave space for installation. Squeeze the screen will not work. You need to be able to get the screen at the venue. Allow yourself a little of screen space to maneuver into position. Depending on how the screen is installed, a clearance of 1 to 2 inches all around the screen is the minimum.
3. Keep in mind options. If you want to add accessories such as remote control receivers, you have the space on campus to accommodate them in. Once again, take into account how it is supposed to function and how they are connected. What I mean is this: Infrared remote control needs a free line of sight, so there must be a way for the infrared signal to enter the premises. Remote controls radio frequency is not necessary that the free line of sight, but still need power. This was placed on the side of the spinal output power display.
4. Plan the future and errors. The screen can function correctly, but what if - a few years down the road-not. Do you have to break the box to reach the screen? That is something we want to avoid. Even if just to add a remote control or other accessory, you do not want to damage his carefully constructed piece. That's why you should make sure you still have access to the screen after you have settled on the furniture. A lid or access point can make the difference between a simple swap out or an expensive reconstruction in the case of a defect.

There you go, one thing that few make the difference between a thought through the design and other amateur. Take time to incorporate these points in its design and greatly benefit from it.
